Guidelines for artists and clients using Buzzly's commission system
For Artists
Creating Listings
- Be clear and specific about what you offer, including art style, turnaround time, and pricing
- Upload portfolio samples that accurately represent your current skill level
- Clearly state what you will and won't draw
- Keep your availability status updated
- Set realistic turnaround times based on your schedule
Pricing
- Price your work fairly - consider your time, skill, and the complexity of the request
- Be transparent about additional costs (extra characters, backgrounds, rush fees)
- Clearly define what's included in each price tier
- Avoid underpricing your work - it hurts both you and the community
Communication
- Respond to inquiries within your stated response time
- Provide regular updates on commission progress
- If delays occur, communicate proactively with your client
- Be professional and courteous in all interactions
Delivery
- Deliver work within the agreed timeframe
- Provide files in the formats specified in your listing
- Offer a reasonable number of revisions as stated in your terms
- Don't share or post commissioned work publicly without client permission
For Clients
Making Requests
- Read the artist's terms of service before requesting
- Provide clear, detailed descriptions of what you want
- Include reference images when possible
- Be upfront about your budget and deadline
- Check if your request falls within what the artist will draw
Payment
- Pay promptly according to the artist's payment terms
- Don't request work without intending to pay
- Respect the artist's pricing - don't haggle or pressure for discounts
- Understand that complex requests may cost more
Communication
- Respond to artist questions in a timely manner
- Provide feedback clearly and constructively
- Be patient - good art takes time
- Don't spam artists with messages asking for updates
Revisions
- Request revisions during the sketch/WIP stage, not after final delivery
- Be specific about what needs to be changed
- Understand that major changes may incur additional fees
- Respect the number of revisions included in your package
General Rules
Respect & Professionalism
- Treat each other with respect and professionalism
- No harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
- Resolve disputes calmly and fairly
- Don't publicly shame or call out users - use the report system
Prohibited Content
- No commissions involving real people without their consent
- No content depicting minors in sexual or inappropriate situations
- No hate symbols, extremist content, or content promoting violence
- No content that infringes on copyrights or trademarks
Disputes
- Try to resolve issues directly first through respectful communication
- Document all agreements and communications
- If you cannot resolve a dispute, contact Buzzly support
- Chargebacks for completed work may result in account suspension
Tips for Success
Do
- Keep all communication on-platform when possible
- Save copies of agreements and receipts
- Leave honest reviews after completed commissions
- Report suspicious behavior or scams
- Be understanding of time zones and schedules
Don't
- Share personal financial information publicly
- Accept or request payment outside official channels
- Ghost on agreements or disappear without communication
- Repost or use work without proper permission
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans
